PURPOSE: A device for measuring the flatness of a strip is provided to accurately measure the flatness of a strip even if displacement, such as waves, is not generated in the strip. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring the flatness of a strip comprises a skin pass roll(10), magnetic field sensors(40), and a controller(50). The skin pass roll transfers a rolled strip(1) to a winding device(30). The magnetic field sensors generate Barkhausen noise in the strip by generating magnetic fields in the strip and sense the generated Barkhausen noise. The controller receives a signal of the Barkhausen noise from the magnetic field sensors and calculates the flatness and stress of the strip based on the Barkhausen noise.
