PURPOSE: A composition containing pine tree extract for preventing or treating diseases caused by excessive intake of cholesterol is provided to improve blood fluidity and to prevent liver injury. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating diseases caused by excessive intake of cholesterol contains subcritical extract of pine tree as an active ingredient. The subcritical extract is prepared by subcritical extraction at 50-170°C for 100-300 minutes in 50-70 kgf/cm_2 of subcritical fluid. The pine tree is red pine needle and subcritical fluid is carbon dioxide. A food composition with effects of improving blood circulation and protecting liver contains subcritical extract of pine tree as an active ingredient.
