The device has a set of panels that are connected together by hinges and are equipped with roller wheels for being driven in a raising direction or a descending direction, in two vertical rails (4). A set of upper ends of the rails is connected to a frontal lintel (5) and two horizontal rails (6), via curved rail parts. A temporary connection between subassemblies (9, 9A) is carried out by a clipping unit (10) that cooperates with a complementary clipping unit (11) formed at an upper end of the vertical rails for cooperating zones together before fixation. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a sectional door.
