Invention herewith described refers to the procedure for obtaining animal feedstuffs, particularly for fish which is carried out by, firstly rinsing the domestic fly larvae in water at temperatures from 40 to 800 C in the time interval from 5 to 30 minutes, after which the larvae are treated in a solution of peracetic acid at a concentration of 0.5 to 2% and exposure time of 5 to 15 minutes, and then a microbiological treatment is performed where the larvae are dried in a specially controlled vacuum dryer at temperature from 10 to 800 C and in the time interval from 60 to 360 minutes which enabled the preservation of nutritional value.Basic aim of the procedure is to turn fresh larvae, which could be used as fresh for animal nutrition only a few days, into a product for animal feed with an extended product life. This technological process preserves the qualitative parameters with the preservation of larval nutritional value.
