The device has a housing and a light source (10) i.e. LED, that are provided on a carrier e.g. printed circuit board, where a position of the carrier along with the light source is changed with respect to the housing. The carrier is linear with the light source and driven diagonally to a horizontal plane of the device by a motor from one functional position to another functional position. Reflectors (6, 8) are assigned to the functional positions of the light source and the carrier.
