The door i.e. sliding door (12), has a braking device (20) e.g. centrifugal brake (22) and/or centrifugal clutch, moving the door during motion of the door between a closing position and an opening position with speed reduced in comparison to non-braked motion. The braking device is coupled with the door by a Bowden cable (28) or by a gear transmission ratio (36). The centrifugal brake is coupled to the door by deflection rollers (24, 26) and the cable. The door is driven by the cable by the motion of the door between the closing and opening positions. The cable is fastened at a carriage (32).
