The sawing module (1) has two sawing devices e.g. circular saws, arranged one behind the other and moved along respective angles on a common axis. A height adjusting device adjusts height of one of the sawing devices. A frame structure (2) has two rails running parallel to each other. A base module (27) is arranged on the rails and movable along the rails. A motor adjusts height of the base module. The frame structure has a lower frame support (3) on which a u-shaped frame (4) is supported. A transport system is arranged on the frame for transporting profiles to be processed. An independent claim is also included for a retaining system for fixing and positioning profiles on a transport system.
