The turbocharger (1) has an exhaust manifold (2a) guidingly connected with a high pressure turbine (5a) of a high pressure turbocharger part (5). A low pressure turbocharger part (3) includes a low pressure compressor (3b) arranged before a high pressure compressor (4b) of another high pressure turbocharger part (4) and a high pressure compressor (5b) of the former high pressure turbocharger part in a flow direction of fresh air. Another high pressure turbine (4a) is designed for 10 percent larger exhaust mass flow than that of the former high pressure turbine.
