The invention relates to a process for heating fluids by means of sources of low thermic level and installation for applying said process. The process for heating fluids by means of heat sources of low thermic level consists in the fact that the process for compressing the refrigerant vapours produced during the generation process takes place from the pressure of the generation process which is of an intermediary value higher than the low pressure of the desorption and absorption processes and produced by means of a heat source of a thermic level lower than the thermic level of the generation and desorption processes up to the high pressure of the resorption process. The installation for heating fluids by means of heating sources of a low thermic level comprises a low pressure absorber (21) connected to a cold source (25) and an intermediary pressure generator (10) connected to the hot source (23) which generates the refrigerant vapours which are subsequently compressed by the compressor (6) from the intermediate pressure to the high pressure and resorbed in the resorber (1) in order to produce the useful effect.
