PURPOSE: A receiver with analog and digital gain control, and a respective method are provided to improve the performance of the receiver by excluding the use of digital gain control and using analog gain control of a receiver while decoding a communication channel. CONSTITUTION: A digital controller(MC) provides the digital gain control operations of first and second amplifiers(A1,A2), and a digital gain setting operation through the digital gain control operation after selecting a communication channel. The digital controller fixes the digital gain setting operation, and provides an analog gain setting operation through the analog gain control operation while decoding the communication channel. |
