JELLY PREPARATION CONTAINING ISOSORBIDE

Isosorbide is hard to take because isosorbide has strong bitterness and is usually administered in a large quantity.  The object aims to formulate isosorbide into a jelly preparation which is easy to take and has an excellent drug-eluting property.  Disclosed is an isosorbide-containing jelly preparation characterized by comprising isosorbide in an amount of 65 to 75 mass% and a carrageenan component composed of ?-carrageenan and ?-carrageenan in an amount of 0.4 to 0.8 mass% both relative to the total amount of the preparation.  Also disclosed is an isosorbide-containing jelly preparation having chocolate flavor.  In the jelly preparations, the texture is good, the bitterness of isosorbide is masked, the taste is good, and the drug-eluting property is excellent.  Therefore, the jelly preparation enables isosorbide to be taken easily.  When the jelly preparation is packed in a bar-shaped bag-type package, the jelly preparation can be taken out of the package easily.
