SPECTRUM SESING APPARATUS USING DIVERSITY COMBINING IN COGNITIVE RADIO

PURPOSE: A spectrum sensing apparatus using diversity of a wireless cognitive system is provided to determine whether a user occupies a spectrum of a licensed user by a local decision method or a delay diversity method. CONSTITUTION: A high-frequency and IF(Intermediate Frequency) signal processor(43A~43M) converts a high-frequency signal of an adder(42A~42M) into a signal of a baseband. An A/D converter(44A~44M) converts an analog signal of the baseband into a digital signal. A power/property measuring unit(45A~45M) detects power and a property of the digital signal. A local determining unit(46A~46M) makes a local decision for whether to use a spectrum of a licensed user. A global determining unit(47) finally determines whether to use the spectrum.
