A method for implementing ring network protection is provided in the present invention. The method includes: nodes in the both ends of each segment of a path in a ring network perform Signal Degrade (SD) alarm detection for the segment; each node sends the detected SD alarm to protection nodes of the path; when receiving the SD alarm, the protection nodes perform protection switching for the service in the segment in which the SD alarm occurs. A system for implementing ring network protection is also provided in the present invention. The system includes each segment, nodes and protection nodes of the path in the ring network. With the method and system of the present invention, the network service quality of the services in the Transport-Multiprotocol Label Switching (T-MPLS) ring network can be guaranteed. |
