<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The stator (1) has two stator parts (14, 16, 18) which jointly surround a stator hole (12) and are interconnected. Connecting sections (13, 15, 17) are provided for connecting the stator parts with each other. The connecting sections are tapered relative to adjacent sections of the adjoining stator parts in an axial direction, parallel to an axis (A) of the stator hole, and form an isthmus between the adjoining stator parts. Thickness of a stator metal sheet is reduced at place of the connecting sections in axial direction. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a stator. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Stator for an electric motor i.e. stepping motor (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The decrease of the thickness of the connecting sections in axial direction permits reduction of the cross section of the connecting sections with an efficient and technically simple procedure, thus manufacturing very thin connecting sections, and hence lowering transmission of the magnetic flow between the stator parts in an effective manner. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a plan view of a stator.
