A thermally stable polycrystalline (TSP) construction 54 includes a body 56 having a polycrystalline ultra-hard material and either a plurality of empty voids or a reaction product or a combination thereof. The body is substantially free of a catalyst material. The construction further includes a backside support member 58 attached to the body by a first braze material and a sidewall support member 60 attached to the body and the backside support member by a second braze material. The construction also has a front support member 62 attached to the body front side surface, and extending from the sidewall support member. The braze materials used to attached the support members can be common or different, as can be the materials used to form the different support members. |
