PURPOSE: An automatic friction pressure welding machine for a vehicle transmission shaft is provided to improve the straightness in welding joint of the tube and the yoke with the hub in a vehicle transmission shaft. CONSTITUTION: An automatic friction pressure welding machine for a vehicle transmission shaft comprises a pair of tube fixing units(20,20'), a yoke friction unit, and a hub friction unit. The tube fixing unit comprises a drive moving member, a driven moving member, a drive clamp, a driven clamp, a drive cylinder, and an interlocking link member. The drive and driven moving members are located opposite to each other and horizontally reciprocated. The drive and driven clamps secure a tube in place. The drive cylinder reciprocates the drive moving member in the horizontal direction. The interlocking link member reciprocates the driven moving member. The yoke friction unit comprises a hydraulic cylinder, a high speed motor, an electromagnetic clutch, a yoke shaft, an electromagnetic brake, a yoke chuck(50), and a balance chuck. A yoke(3) fixed to the yoke chuck contacts a side of the tube and is friction-welded by rotating. The hub friction unit comprises a hydraulic cylinder, a high speed motor, an electromagnetic clutch, a hub shaft, an electromagnetic brake, a hub chuck(70), and a balance chuck. A hub(4) fixed to the hub chuck contacts the other side of the tube and is friction-welded by rotating.
