摘要 FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: device for generating high-temperature plasma and neutron radiation has a pulsed source of initial energy, a main pulsed source of energy, a pulse former and a plasma chamber with axially symmetrical external and internal electrodes and an annular gap between them in form of a de Laval nozzle, as well as a squeezing current-conducting shell. The gap divides the chamber into plasma acceleration and deceleration compartments. The main pulsed source of energy is connected to the external electrode to form a poloidal magnetic field in the deceleration compartment. The squeezing current-conducting shell has thickness approximately equal to thickness of the skin layer. The squeezing shell which is insulated on both sides adjoins the inner surface of the external electrode of the deceleration compartment through an outer insulating layer. ^ EFFECT: invention reduces impurities in plasma which results in increase in temperature of the plasma and power of the neutron pulse. ^ 3 dwg
