PURPOSE: A display device and a display method thereof are provided to clearly check the connection state of the display device and an external device capable of being connected to a display device, thereby planning the convenience of a user. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(110) displays a first graphics showing a display device, a second graphics showing an external device, and a third graphics showing a connection state between the display device and the external devices. If the external device is mounted to the display device, a control unit(120) controls the display unit to change the third graphics. The display unit displays a message showing state whether connection between the display device and the external device and a message showing a name and model name of the external device.
