PURPOSE: A leakage prevention member of an evaporator for a railway vehicle is provided to prevent damage when separating the cover of the evaporator for maintenance work. CONSTITUTION: A leakage prevention member(100) of an evaporator for a railway vehicle is inserted between a machine body(10) of the evaporator and a cover(12) which is removably attached to the exterior of the machine body, and comprises a body(20), a first flange(24), a second flange(28), and a plate(30). The body is formed in the shape of a flat plate and inserted between the cover and the machine body. The first flange is bent on the top of the body and contacts the upper surface of the cover. The second flange is formed on the bottom of the body and contacts the lower surface of the machine body and the cover. The plate contacts the lower surface of the second flange and the cover and fixed with a bolt(32) to compress the second flange.
