PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which improves operability, and suppresses unnecessary electric power. SOLUTION: An electric power connection unit connects a power supply to a main device, and a volatile memory stores operation information for operating a device body. An electric power supply means supplies electric power from the power source to the volatile memory, and a non-operation state request reception means receives a non-operation state request for transferring the device body to the non-operation state. If the non-operation state request reception means receives the non-operation state request, an electric power supply control means causes an electric power supply means to supply electric power to the volatile memory during a predetermined period. A mode discrimination means discriminates a mode of a non-operation state request. A change means prepares a setting means for setting the predetermined period according to the mode discriminated by the mode discrimination means. The operability of the user is improved, and the unnecessary power is suppressed by changing the period from reception of the non-operation state request to supply the electric power to the volatile memory according to the mode of the non-operation state request.
