PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower die device 106 for press brakes, which pinch a pair of side-face parts in the longitudinal direction c1 to clamp them even when it is a lower die 103A which is short in the dimension of the longitudinal direction c2 to facilitate attachment and detachment of the lower die. SOLUTION: The lower die device 106 for the press brakes which clamps the lower die with a first holder member 112A and a second holder member 113A is configured such that: a linking member 3 is inserted into each of the through-holes g2 of the first holder member; one end of the linking member is engaged with the second holder member through a first elastic member 5 and a slide-contacting part 3c is formed on the other end; a sliding bar 2 on which an inclined surface part j1 which is pressure-contacted with the respective slide-contacting parts is formed on the rear face f2 of the first holder member is mounted; the sliding bar is linked and connected to an input member 4 which is rotatably mounted on the first holder member through a pinion and rack mechanism jm; a second elastic member 6 is annexed on the rear face f20 of a second holder member; and the lower die is sandwiched through the suppressing force of the first and second elastic members when the input member is rotationally operated to the clamping position.
