PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma key hole welding method for more quickly penetrating a key hole. SOLUTION: The plasma key hole welding method includes: a first process in which a key hole is formed and penetrated by jetting a plasma gas with an initial flow rate Fgs and by a plasma arc generated between a plasma electrode and a workpiece; and a second process in which after the key hole is penetrated, the plasma gas is jetted with a regular flow rate Fgn to perform regular welding by the plasma arc.
