PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member for construction used for an opening etc. such as a window or an entrance of a building structure including a wooden house or a building, for example, by which sealing performance can be maintained well even when the sealing member is carbonized or weakened due to heat or flame by a fire. SOLUTION: The sealing body 50 is formed of a fire-resistant or fire-retardant material, and a fire-resistant or fire-retardant core material 51 is buried in the sealing body 50. The sealing body 50 may be formed of a fire-resistant or fire-retardant synthetic resin, for example. A fire-resistant or fire-retardant net body, for example, can be used as the core material 51.
