<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared ray reflection plate having an improved selective reflection characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: The infrared ray reflection plate has a substrate whose variation of Re(1000) is 20 nm or more, at least two light reflection layers X1, X2 which are constituted by fixing a cholesteric liquid crystal phase on one surface of the substrate and at least two light reflection layers Y1, Y2 which are constituted by fixing the cholesteric liquid crystal phase on another surface of the substrate. Each of light reflection layers X1, X2 has an equal reflection central wavelengthλ<SB>X1</SB>(nm) and reflects circularly polarized light of respective reverse directions. Each of light reflection layers Y1, Y2 has an equal reflection central wavelengthλ<SB>Y1</SB>(nm) and reflects circularly polarized light of a reverse direction. Furtherλ<SB>X1</SB>andλ<SB>Y1</SB>are not equal, refractive index anisotropy of the light reflection layer X1 (a lower layer)▵n<SB>X1</SB>and refractive index anisotropy of the light reflection layer X2 (an upper layer)▵n<SB>X2</SB>satisfy a relation:▵n<SB>X2</SB><▵n<SB>X1</SB>and refractive index anisotropy of the light reflection layer Y1 (a lower layer)▵n<SB>Y1</SB>and refractive index anisotropy of the light reflection layer Y2 (an upper layer)▵n<SB>Y2</SB>satisfy a relation:▵n<SB>Y2</SB><▵n<SB>Y1</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
