Break-open package comprising two sheets with incision that varies in depth formed in one of the two sheets

A sealed single break-open package (1) designed for containment of single-dose product (5); particularly a liquid product is disclosed. The package (1) comprises a first sheet (2) of semi-rigid plastic material. A second sheet (3) of flexible plastic material is superimposed on and sealed to the first sheet (2) of semi-rigid plastic material to define a sealed pocket (4) containing a dose of a product (5). An incision (not shown) is formed in the first sheet (2) to guide its controlled breakage along it and to form an outlet opening for a product (5) through the first sheet (2). The depth of the incision is varied lengthwise and this variable depth allows a gradual breakage of the first sheet (2) along the incision.
