The front suction cup 8 sucking the non-defective sheet is moved backward in the sheet flow direction, and a defective sheet suction cup 25 arranged in the lower position is moved upward and aligned with the suction cup 7 of the previously cut defective sheet side, and an adhesive tape is attached to the intermediate portion. Then, the defective sheet is wound by a defective sheet winding shaft 20. After the defective portion is removed, the sheet is stopped again, the portions of the sheet preceding and succeeding the defective portion is sucked by the suction cups 7, 25, the intermediate portion is cut, and the suction cup 25 sucking the defective sheet is moved downward.
