<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent output of content which is not intended. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 203 transmits, to a display device 100, a switching instruction for setting an operating state of the display device 100 to a first state, when a state of a playback device 200 is at a transmissible state which is a state where at least part of the processed content is transmissible to the display device 100. A control unit 105 provides an input source selection unit 108 with a setting instruction according to the switching instruction. The input source selection unit 108 sets the operating state of the display device 100 to the first state where the processed content can be output, according to the setting instruction.
