<p>PURPOSE: A device and a method for displaying an image around a vehicle are provided to accurately detect the relative positional relation between a vehicle and an obstacle around the vehicle by displaying the appearance of the vehicle in a plane or perspective viewing angle according to the distance from the obstacle. CONSTITUTION: Plural image obtaining units(40) photograph the image around a vehicle, and a vehicle state detector(10) detects the driving state of the vehicle by receiving signals of various sensors which sense the driving state of the vehicle. A viewpoint generating unit(30) calculates and determines the virtual viewpoint location which views the vehicle. An image conversion table converts the virtual viewpoint coordinates of an image, and an image generation unit(50) generates an overlook image.</p> |
