The cable (1) has a shield (5) enclosing the inner conductor (2). The inner conductor and the shield include a polymer-mono filament and/or polymer-multi-filaments (3, 7), which are coated with an electrically conducting coating. The shield includes a fabric, a web (6) and a strip that are formed from the mono filament and/or the multi-filaments. The polymer filaments are formed from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polyamide (PA). The electrically conducting coating is made of metal such as copper, aluminum, silver or gold.
