The insulating device (30) is mechanically constructed as sandwich construction, and has an upper cover plate. The upper cover plate is equipped in such a manner that installation force is applied on a machine table for fixing the insulating device. A thermally effective insulating layer is arranged below the upper plate. A flat bearing surface is formed, which is extended and is provided transverse to the direction of a stratigraphic sequence of the sandwich construction. A lower cover plate or the upper cover plate has a sheet made of a metallic or a ceramic material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for thermal insulation of a heated machine table of a tool machine; and (2) a quick clamping element, which has fixing grooves.
