The media film is collectable after the irradiation of the collecting device. In the flow direction of the introduced liquid medium, the three-dimensional object has an application area, to which the liquid medium is bringable as a turbulent-free volume flow in a splash-free manner, a production area, in which a cross-sectional area of the object is enlarged in the flow direction and in which the media film forms itself under the effect of the gravitational force based on the geometry of the production area, and a disinfection area, in which the cross-sectional area of the object is constant and in which the media film is exposed to the ultraviolet radiation by the ultraviolet emitter and moves itself under the effect of the gravitational force in the direction of the Earth's gravitational attraction. The three-dimensional object has a discharge area, in which the cross-sectional area of the object is reduced in the flow direction and in which an outlet flow from the media film forms itself under the effect of the gravitational force based on the geometry of the discharge area. The three-dimensional object has an elliptical and/or circular cross-section, is rotation-symmetrical related to its longitudinal axis, partially has a surface reflecting the ultraviolet radiation, has a surface structure for improving the flow properties of the liquid medium, corresponds to a cone in the production area and in the discharge area, is equipped with an exchangeable surface cover, and is displaceable in vibrations for removing adhered dirt. An electric load is adjustable on the surface of the three-dimensional object for influencing the flow properties of the liquid medium. The supply for the liquid medium to be treated has an element for creating a laminar volume flow, which has a circular cross-section. The supply is an elongated hollow body, in which a volume space of the application area of the object is partially introduced, so that an exit opening of the supply is reduced. An adjustment of the depth of introduction of three-dimensional object is carried out in the volume space of the supply. The exit opening of the supply is reduced, so that the exit opening is a circular opening. An independent claim is included for a method for treating liquid media.</p>
