PURPOSE: A voice mail and a method therefor for accurately identifying a caller in a voice mail system are provided to improve communication by providing additional information about a caller of the voice mail in a messaging system. CONSTITUTION: A system receives an incoming call(S205). The system reproduces the voice mail greeting of a caller(S210). The system starts the register of the message of the caller(S220). The system initializes the voice recognition(S225). The system decides the voice print of the caller(S235). The system compares the determined known voice print with the determined voice print(S240).
