Three-dimensional deformable heating element comprises heat conductors placed on a foil as base material with a shrinkable covering foil arranged over the heat conductor running on the base material. The covering foil forms a barrier layer on the surface of the heat conductor for gaseous, liquid and/or dissolved solid chemicals. The heat conductors are adhered between the foils. - Independent claims are also included for the following: - (1) Steering wheel heater containing the above heating element; and - (2) Process for the production of a steering wheel heater.
