The valves (6,7) connect pressure regulators (3, 4) to clutches (8, 10) and disconnect the regulators from a shifting system (11) in each position (A1, A11, B1, B11). A connection is established between the valve and the clutch (8), when the clutch (10) is completely depressurized and the valves are in the positions (B1,B11). A control unit controls parameters such as controllable pressure and volumetric flow for actuation of the clutches and the shifting system. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a dual clutch transmission using a hydraulic control apparatus. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Hydraulic control apparatus for an automatic dual clutch transmission in a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The apparatus allows the changeover valves to shift from one position to another position, thus providing a safe emergency running mode of the motor vehicle during failure of the pressure regulators. The apparatus is simple, cost-effective and compact. The apparatus includes partial transmissions that comprise a fort gear and a reverse gear, thus securing the motor vehicle to be maneuvered and shunted in case of a failure of a pressure regulator.
