<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The mechanism (1) has a continuous and self-contained ring-shaped frame magnet (2) arranged between a cover plate and a ferromagnetic base plate and magnetized in an axial direction. A circular disc-shaped segmented magnet (3) is magnetized in a radial direction, where design height of the segmented magnet is greater than design height of the frame magnet. An axially magnetized magnetic core (4) is inserted into a recess that is formed in the segmented magnet, where the segmented magnet, frame magnet and the magnetic core are non-detachably secured to the base plate. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a Halbach array for releasing a magnetically held anti-theft device. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Release mechanism for releasing a magnetically releasable anti-theft device that is utilized for protecting soft goods and clothes in a department store and a boutique against theft. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The utilization of the ferromagnetic base plate causes the field emissions to be reduced on an underside of the mechanism, and slightly strengthens magnetic field on a top side of the mechanism, thus enabling for effective release of the special anti-theft device even when the mechanism requires higher magnetic field strength.
