PURPOSE: A semiconductor memory device is provided to prevent the unnecessary operation of a memory chip by applying a light enable signal to the unselected memory chip. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of memory chips receive an enable signal for the same chip. An operation control unit generates an operation enable signal. The operation control unit supply the operation enable signal to the memory chips. The operation control unit supplies the operation enable signal during the operation period of the unselected memory chip. |
