PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inputting texts in a terminal are provided to facilitate the input of texts by displaying extended keyset in a popup window. CONSTITUTION: A consonant key included in a keypad of touch screen is touched(903). According to the drag input dragging the touch screen after the input of the consonant key, the consonant corresponding to the consonant key and the combinable character are displayed(915). The character which is combinable in the consonant or related character includes a, e, i, o and u key. If one key is inputted among a, e, i, o and u keys, the inputted key is changed to n key to display.
