PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing hematite is provided to control a crystallization rate of hematite through the concentration control of bivalent ion. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing hematite comprises the steps of: combining bivalent ions to the surface of the mesoporous silica; and heating and thermally oxidizing it in an air. Ferrous chloride hydrate is impregnated in the mesoporous silica. Ferricoxychloride is created during oxidation of the ferrous chloride hydrate into hematite. The ferrous chloride hydrate is tetrahydrate.
