Steering wheel comprises at least one actuator fitted thereon to actuate at least first functional component fitted on automobile. Electronic control unit interacts with said actuator to control the latter. Electronic unit (S) can connect actuator (B) with second functional component (F) incorporated with electronic unit (S). Second portable functional component (F') can be activated, instead of first functional component (F), by actuator (B). Method of controlling second portable functional component comprises the following stages: receiving first identifier transmitted by second portable functional element, subsequent transmission of second identifier to second portable functional component (F) by electronic control unit (S). The number of actuators (B) available in steering wheel (L) for activation of second functional component (F) is encoded in identifier, while selection of at least one actuator (B, B', B") from available actuators (B, B', B") is performed with the help of second functional component (F). ^ EFFECT: expanded performances. ^ 39 cl, 3 dwg |
