PURPOSE: A position change device and a sheet processing apparatus are provided to improve transfer speed of sheets and reduce the probability of jamming during transfer by accurately turning the sheets to the desired position. CONSTITUTION: A position change device comprises two upstream correction rollers(51R,51L), two downstream correction rollers(52R,52L), and a controller. The upstream correction rollers are separate in the direction crossing the transfer direction of sheets(P0~P3). The downstream correction rollers are arranged separate from the upstream correction rollers toward the downstream side of the sheet transfer direction. The controller independently controls the rotation of the four correction rollers so that the speeds of the upstream correction rollers are differentiated to turn the sheets somewhat and the speeds of the downstream correction rollers are differentiated to turn the sheets completely to the desired position.
