METHOD OF TREATING INFLAMMATORY DISEASE OF METACARPUS AND METATARSUS IN DOGS

FIELD: medicine, veterinary science. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, and can be used in treating an inflammatory disease of metacarpus and metatarsus in dogs. The method provides application of tourniquet on the affected extremity above a drug introduction point. The drug is introduced daily or every second day; the drug is presented with antibiotics or antihistamines, or proteinase inhibitors, or cytostatics for 5-15 days towards a distal part of the extremity in the amount 5-10 ml; thereafter physiologic saline 1-2 ml is introduced in the drug introduction point. The tourniquet is applied below the drug introduction point. The tourniquet is kept on an animal's body for 10 minutes; the introduction point is covered with a sterile bandage. ^ EFFECT: invention allows to reduce treatment length and to improve clinical effectiveness. ^ 2 tbl
