PURPOSE: A method for selectively providing text message based on user location information in a mobile phone is provided to offer the shortest time to destination information using a text message about disaster or traffic. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone receives traffic, accident or disaster information in SMS(Short Message Service) type(S100). The mobile phone extracts the necessary information from the information(S200). The mobile phone evaluates the importance of the extracted information(S300). The mobile phone creates the additional information(S400). The mobile phone offers the additional information on the screen(S500).
