The device has a case closed by a transparent wall. Optical modules (29-31) are placed inside the case and associate a light source with an optical system (6). The optical modules are equipped with a convection type heat dissipator (42) that cools heat produced by the source. An air flow generating apparatus (8) e.g. fan, generates an airflow that is conveyed against a heat exchanging surface of the heat dissipator. A pipe (34) is provided in aeraulic communication with the generating apparatus to transfer the flow of air toward the heat exchanging surface. The light source has LEDs.
