The device has a collector (30) distributing gases in a cylinder head fed by an intake gas (G). An injecting unit (20) injects recirculated exhaust gas of an engine (H) in the intake gas flow. A gas guiding case guides the gas in the device, where the case comprises a polygonal section transverse to a circulation direction (X) of the intake gas. The injection unit is opened on two sides of the polygon section to allow the better homogenization of the mixture.
