PURPOSE: A usage of a structured packing including more than one back-up layer and a separation layer is provided to reduce the height of a column for the extractive distillation for a separating function. CONSTITUTION: A usage of a structured packing including more than one back-up layer and a separation layer is for secure the separating efficiency for performing the extractive distillation method of distillate-extracting a material from a mixture. The structured packing includes a back-up layer(1) and a separation layer(2).
