<p>The method involves inserting a tappet (12) into a through-opening (14) of a component (16). The tappet is tensed up with a defined prestressing force against the component, and is fixed at the component by flanging. The tappet is fixed after strutting by a tappet region producing a form closure. The prestressing force is brought by a stamp which is pressed against the tappet. The stamp is inserted into a receiving opening (22) of the tappet while bringing in the prestressing force.</p>
