The antifriction bearing comprises components arranged under a bearing ring and roller body that rolls off on the bearing ring. One of the components is equipped on its surface with a coating with a thickness of 2 mu m. The coating consists of a nickel-alloy and is produced by chemical deposition process. The component exists out of base material and the coating is directly applied on the base material. The coating process is carried out by immersion in a nickel bath and the coating has a hardness of 50-55 HRC. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of a component for antifriction bearing.
