PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber treatment agent for composite materials, which has excellent fray prevention of glass cloth by one kind of liquid and gives excellent adhesiveness with other members such as foamed epoxy resin, etc. SOLUTION: The fiber treatment agent for composite materials is obtained by polymerizing 100 pts.mass of a mixture of (A) an ethylenic unsaturated group-containing monomer not containing a carboxy group, amide group, epoxy group, hydroxy group, alkoxy group and nitrile group and (B) an ethylenic unsaturated group-containing monomer containing at least one kind of functional group selected from a carboxy group, amide group, epoxy group, hydroxy group, alkoxy group and nitrile group in the presence of 5-30 pts.mass of a water-soluble polymer.
