<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and symbol timing extraction method in which a symbol timing can be accurately extracted with a peak of inter-correlation without being affected by neighboring data. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the receiver and symbol timing extraction method wherein, in a receiver of a digital modulation system, data before and after UW code-determined by a code determining section 107 are extracted by a data extracting section 112 before and after UW, UW stored in a UW pattern storage memory 108 is read by a coupling portion 113, the extracted data before and after UW are coupled and mapped in order of time, the mapped symbol is passed through a Nyquist filter 114, only a UW part is segmented by a UW part segmenting section 116, and the UW part signal, which is subjected to code interference, is used as a reference of an inter-correlator 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
