PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding device and a sliding mechanism capable of increasing the degree of freedom of selecting a reaction force and an auxiliary force during sliding operation and achieving smooth sliding operation and sliding movement. SOLUTION: The sliding mechanism 12 includes a main piece 5, a sub-piece 7 connected movably in one moving direction SH to the main piece 5, an elastic member 9 disposed between the main piece 5 and the sub-piece 7 for energizing an elastic force between the main piece 5 and the sub-piece 7, and an external package member 10 connected to the main piece 5 or the sub-piece 7 for guiding the movement of the main piece 5 and the sub-piece 7 and externally packaging the elastic member 9. The main piece 5 includes sliding pieces 5c and 5d extending in the moving direction SH toward the sub-piece 7, the sub-piece 7 includes a piece 7c to be slid extending in the moving direction SH toward the main piece 5, and by making the sliding pieces 5c and 5d engaged wit the piece 7c to be slid slidably in the moving direction SH, the movement of the main piece 5 and the sub-piece 7 in the moving direction SH is guided.
